How to Charge your IC Card or Purchase a Subway Ticket:
Purchasing a subway ticket:
- All stations are equipped with ticket vending machines. Press ① for English.
- Locate the chart or map (②) above the ticket machines that indicates the fare amount for each station.
- Insert cash into the ticket machine (③) and press the corresponding button for your destination and respective fare amount (④).
- When purchasing tickets for children, press ⑤ and then select the destination and respective fare amount.
- Receive your subway ticket and any change from the tray (⑥).


Charging (adding money onto) your IC card:
- Insert your IC card into the card slot (①).
- Select the desired amount you wish to add onto your card.
- Insert your money (③).
- If you need a receipt, press the receipt button (④).
- Once money has been successfully added, take your card from the card slot (①).
- Please remember to take your receipt and change, if any.

Purchasing a One-Day Pass or Transit Pass:
- You can purchase day- or other transit passes at train station information counters. Please inquire directly.
How to Enter/Exit the Ticket Gate:
If using a subway ticket OR magnetic card/pass (NOT IC Card):
- When entering, insert the ticket/card into the ticket slot (①). The gate will automatically open.
- Once you pass the gate, be sure to pick up your ticket/card from the exit slot (②) located on the end of the gate.
- When exiting, insert your ticket/card into the ticket slot.
Depending on the type of ticket or card (pass), it may come back out of the exit slot. If so, please do not forget to pick up your ticket/card.

If using an IC card OR contactless credit card:
- Firmly tap your card onto the card reader to open the gate.
- If using an IC card: Tap (③).
If using a contactless credit card: Tap (④).
*Visa, JCB, American Express, Diners Club, Discover, UnionPay (credit, debit, and prepaid) with the contactless-payment markare accepted.

Riding the Subway:
- Check the signs located at the concourse to confirm which platform to board your subway train from.
- The final station for any train will be indicated on the subway cars.

- If you lost an item and noticed it is missing on the same day, please contact the City bus offices or stations directly.
- Personal identification is required in order to pick up any found items at an office or station.
